DANIELLE STEEL ON THE VIEW TODAY

Hi Everyone

Watch The View today, normally don't (don't care for the hosts) but had a half hour to kill so what the heck. :-)
They had another one of my favorite writers on, Danielle Steel. This was the first time I have ever seen her on tv and hearing her speak.
I was totally surprised as to what I heard, not at all what I expected.

On her jacket covers she always looks so 'refined' ... princess like even. She was dressed very nice on the show but when she spoke she has a, what sounds to me, a New York accent maybe? Nothing wrong with that, but again, not what I expected.

As she spoke she sounded like a very unhappy person. Said she had a very hard/unhappy childhood and her life was full of heartaches. I think it was Joy who asked her if she was going to write her bio and Danielle said no, which again I was surprised. She said her life is her writing and nothing more or less. Wow....

JAMES PATTERSON-TOYS

Hello Everyone

Just finished James Patterson's new book, 'TOYS' and I have to say I had a hard time getting through the first few chapters. Not giving up because I really enjoy all of his books so  I plugged on and glad that I did.

I do think, however, that this would make a great film because of all of the special effects would look awesome on the big screen.

Even though it was touch and go there at first, I highly recommend this book.

Happy reading. :-)

Reading a Great Book...

To me the best book is one that totally shuts out everything around you and you are not aware of your surroundings as each page is turned.
It never ceases to amaze me that when I look up from a good book, I realize that had happened.
And then again there are some novels I have read that every little noise or movement I hear, and my eyes will wonder off the page.
That, my friends,is the difference between a great book and one you realize you should never have started. :-)

Waiting for the new Eve Dallas Release

Don't know about you guys but I am anxiously awaiting the new book by J D Robb, New York to Dallas, to be released on Sept 13th.

Going to get it for my Kindle (love my kindle :-) and it is cheaper than actually buying the book which I think retails at $27.95. Amazon has it for $14.99 I believe.

Her books are always a good read and so looking forward to her latest.

James Patterson

Second favorite author is James Patterson. His stories grab you from the very first page until the last sentence in the final chapter.

Very down to earth and makes you feel as you are right there with the main character.  Love his 2 page long chapters, lol.

Haven't read a book of his yet that I didn't like.

She has to be one of my all time favorite fiction author. She had me hooked from the first book ...in death series... and have been a fan ever since. You know you have have great book in your hands when you reach the final chapter and wish you had 20 more to go.
I always try and put a face to the characters and I think if this saga ever gets to Hollywood I know who would be the perfect actress to play Eve.....Angie Harmon from the TV series Rizzoli and Isles. Don't you agree?
